Sri Lanka's convenient seasons make it possible for coast to receive sun at any time during the day. But south & west beaches are a high season from November to end of March . The climate is pleasant with average temperature around 27-30 Celsius.

East Coast

Here too fine beaches, typically wide stretches of sand and what seems like miles of clear, shallow blue water; pretty bays and coves, deep natural harbors and still lagoons, underwater coral gardens. And a good, long sunshine- filled season from April to mid October . The best beaches are those of Nilaveli , Kuchchaveli, Marble Bay, Sweat Bay, and Dead man's Cove, north of Trincomalee town with its magnificent natural harbor.
